In Tourism, what we do, is less
important than the impact we
leave on People and in the Planet.

How can we leave an impact and a legacy?

  • Travel in a conscious way, preferably during off-peak seasons.
  • Book with us an accommodation that contributes to the development of the region.
  • Check out our suggestions for experiences that will immediately have an impact on the local community.
  • Always buy local, genuine and sustainable products.
  • Respect local culture, customs and experiences. Get along with the communities.
  • Contribute actively to a cause of your choice, be it social, environmental or other.

Never stop travelling and regenerating. Reconnect with yourself, with others and with the Planet. Every action we take, however small and insignificant it may be, always has an impact. On us, on others, on Nature. When we travel, we can not only create memories of moments well-lived, but we can also contribute in a positive way to the places we visit. Tourism has the power to be a driving force for social and economic inclusion and development. Each one of us can be an agent of transformation. What we propose to you is that just as memories of travel last, your impact can also be extended over time. Do not break the connection. When you return, take with you a little of the places you have visited and experienced, but also leave a little of yourself, your footprint.

OUR CAUSES

The impact we leave every day.

PEOPLE

Einstein said that “the mind that opens itself to a new idea will never return to its original size”.
THOR Academy is not yet a formal entity, but our personal project to contribute to the regeneration of Tourism: educating mindsets. We believe in continuous learning to combat inequalities and foster the evolution of society and the individual, which will then have an impact on companies. We make tourism training accessible to all.

PLANET

For a world where people and nature live in harmony. Signature of ANP, a Portuguese non-profit NGO aligned with the vision and strategy of the WWF. The mission “is the conservation of national biodiversity and forest ecosystems, the protection of marine biodiversity and the promotion of sustainable fisheries, the conservation of freshwater ecosystems and their water resources.” It intervenes in the topic of climate change and promotes sustainable consumption.

PROFIT

REFOOD’s mission is to rescue food, feed people and include the whole local community, co-creating a more sustainable, fair and caring society. “The REFOOD Movement is independent, sustainable, 100% voluntary, democratic, citizen-driven and organised in local communities. It is dedicated to recovering food in good condition and feeding people in need through the inclusion of the local community.” It operates nationally and internationally.

LIVING LABS

Alone we go faster, but together we go further.
And it is with this sense of community and radical collaboration and co-creation that we believe that solutions to the challenges of Tourism must be global, from all for all. #allforall
The instability of the VUCA or BANI world we live in today, poses countless giant challenges to businesses, leaders, destinations, and even individuals, personally and professionally. Making decisions, and making the right choices, is an increasingly complicated and uncertain process. Especially if we are aware of its impact and the legacy we want to leave.
The Living Labs, arise in the sense of providing co-creation of the different tourism stakeholders, working the reality of the destination to build a Regenerative Creative Tourism. The ultimate goal is to support the development of projects involving local communities and the different tourism players, through the methodology of Design Thinking.
